What data is stored by Dante Director and how is it secured?

The types of data that Dante Director may store include the following:

  • Dante device details – device and channel names, configuration, local IP address, channel routes, status, manufacturer, model type and firmware versions
  • Information provided by the user to organize and manage devices such as site names, location, descriptions, comments etc
  • User credentials (email address and password), access roles and permissions
  • Site and account event log data
  • Subscription details such as plan inclusions, status and next payment date (credit card details are not stored in Dante Director)

Does Dante Director store any ‘Personal Identifiable Information’ (PII)?

  • Yes. Some of the data stored by Dante Director may be considered PII; for example, the email addresses used as login credentials for user accounts.

How is data secured by Dante Director?

  • Data access is permission managed based on the authenticated user account
  • All data is encrypted at rest in the database
  • User passwords are additionally salted and hashed.

Where is Dante Director data stored?

  • Currently, all data is stored in the data centers of our cloud hosting provider, Amazon Web Services
  • All data is currently stored in a single region in North America.
