The Sands Casino resort is a $743 million casino with 3,000 slot machines to choose from, a fully integrated resort consisting of over 300 luxury hotel rooms, 9 restaurants, 200,000 square feet of premium retail outlet shopping, and 46,000 square feet of flexible multi-purpose space.

Challenge

Create a flexible audio networking solution that can support over a couple independent zones yet have the capability to control and manage all of them from any single kiosk within the casino.

Solution

Use Peavey’s MediaMatrix NION DSP systems and take advantage of the powerful and integrated control and monitoring capability in Dante to manage 34 independent zones connecting over 250 speakers throughout the casino property. All of the zones were easily setup over a VLAN and are controlled from any one of the numerous kiosks that were spread across the casino.
