Sports Broadcast Example Configuration
In this example, the production team required the flexibility to mix the event from a remote gallery as well as have event commentators working both onsite and remotely from their homes. Dante Connect enables commentators onsite at the event to use Dante-enabled hardware, in this case the Glensound Minferno/3, to send audio to cloud-based mixers. This commentator has full integration into the intercom system with mix-minus ensuring a professional production.
The mix desk in the cloud is operated remotely by audio engineers using SSL System T from an offsite location with a hardware fader tile, that can be located anywhere in the world. Additionally, a commentator who is working from home using their browser can provide voiceover using the web-based Remote Contribution client without any special network or hardware requirements. Any Dante-enabled audio hardware can be used within this cloud-based workflow, supported by Dante Connect.
